Bringing light and compassion

The WPF in Eindhoven is located in a beautiful garden at the monestry of the Sisters of Mercy and Compassion. As soon as I pass the gate I go from the busy city life into a peaceful environment. Together with Carla I walk the inspiration path with amazing texts and prayers of all world religions. I walk the labyrint that leads me from passion to compassion. A modern way of the cross, a way of life that shows 7 beautiful art monuments made by Carla and Jeannette. I walk the phases of Being Human, Passion, Searching, Compassion, Dedication, Forgiveness and Unity. In the middle of the labyrint the WPF shines as a symbol for Unity.

‘For me the WPF is the most touchable symbol for our (inner) peace’, Carla tells me. ‘My mission is to bring light to people in different ways. I visit schools and bring the WPF to the children. And here in the garden of the monestry the WPF supports the wish of the Sisters to spread the Light all over the world.’

This summer I got the idea to visit all WPF monuments in the Netherlands. I have not seen all yet and I would love to meet the people behind the monuments: they care for the flames and they spread the light through all kind of activities. How are they touched by the wpf? What are they motivated by?
