Thousands of torches lit by World Peace Flame on Chrismas eve, Eindhoven, NL
On Christmas Eve, in Eindhoven, NL, a torch march is being organized through the town centre. The march is a dedication to peace, freedom and tolerance and has been organized since 1992 after a terrorist action against migrants in Solingen (Germany). Thousands of people join the march as a sign that they want to contribute to peace, respect and tolerance.
Since 2013, the first torches are lit from the World Peace Flame in a beautiful ceremony with speeches and music.
