Cadzand, The Netherlands

On Sunday 9 May 2004, the World Peace Flame monument was installed in Cadzand in the province of Zeeland, The Netherlands.

The World Peace Flame was carried by Savitri MacCuish, Director of the World Peace Flame Foundation, to the lifeboats of the Royal Dutch Rescue Service, K.N.R.M., who took it along the coast to Cadzand harbour.

The Flame was ignited in a beautiful ceremony in the presence of the Queen’s Commissioner to Zeeland, Drs. Wim van Gelder, and the local Mayor, Mr. Jaap Sala.
